Apr 16, 2018Hagerstown, passed away Friday, April 13, 2018, at Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown.Born July 16, 1947, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Lloyd C. Heiston Sr. and Catherine Alberta (Crabtree) Heiston.Mr. Heiston was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a civilian employee of the Department of Defense at Site R, near Blue Ridge Summit, Pa.He attended St. Mary Catholic Church, Hagerstown, and was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and the B.P.O. Elks No. 378. Mr. Heiston enjoyed NASCAR, football, gardening and barbecuing.He is survived by his significant other of 40 years, Pam Scott; three daughters, Audrea Peck and husband, Mike; Catherine E. Heiston; and Lily I. Heiston and fiancé, Austin; two sisters, Penny Florek and husband, Stephen. and Vicky Stouffer and husband, Steven; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three nieces; one nephew; and his beloved Akita, Kayla.Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Home, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave., Hagerstown. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. (Herald-Mail Media)
